INFORMATION
Mallorca
Brevet Cycling camp is heaven on a bike! Camp is based out of Palma
on the island of Mallorca and is designed for experienced long-distance
road cyclists to tour the island as a group comprised of 18-20 people.
Most routes will be 60 miles (100k) in length, scenic and leisurely.
Rides take place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Saturday is arrival and departure day. There is an optional unsupported
ride available on Saturday and Sunday.
The rides are supervised by a group leader who lead the way, stop
at various rest points and carry mobile phones to establish communication
with base camp and assure the security of the group. A support car
will stop at set rest stops along the route.
All
routes follow secondary country roads with very little traffic.
Riders have the option to ride longer, or take a shorter route.
The average grade of hills is around 6-8%. For bike gearing, a 39
in front and a 26 in back is recommended. Routes are subject to
change based on weather.
A welcome reception and meeting will be held at the hotel Sunday
afternoon. At this meeting, each participant will receive basic
instructions about the camp, the island of Mallorca, a map of the
island, route bulletins and an emergency phone number to base camp.
Cycling Camp cost 350.00 € per person, per week.
Includes: one superior hotel room with water view, two meals day,
one riding route per day, a group ride leader, secure bike box storage
and overnight bike storage, and daily refreshments on the road.
(Lodging is based on double occupancy.)

Each
rider must be over 18 years of age and must sign a waiver and release
form to register and participate.
Each rider must be in excellent physical condition and carry current

Each rider must wear a helmet at all times.
Each rider's bike must be in excellent operating condition.
Entry is by preregistration only.
Each entrant must prepay and enclose a 4x6" color photo of
him/herself with helmet on alongside the bike he/she intends to
bring to camp.
No participants are allowed a private follow vehicle.
If a rider chooses not to ride on a specific day, he/she is responsible
to notify the group ride leader. If a rider abandons the ride, or
takes a shorter route, he/she must notify the group ride leader.
No refunds for no shows.
The organizer, at his/her discretion, reserves the right to decline
entry to anyone who enters after the group limit has been reached,
the entry deadline has passed or who is deemed unqualified or unacceptable
to participate.
